To maintain the same price range as the Galaxy S23, Samsung plans to reduce the acquisition cost of processors by negotiating better deals with Qualcomm and reintroducing Exynos chips.
The 4nm fabrication process by Samsung Foundry has reportedly undergone significant improvements, leading to expectations of superior performance from the 10-core Exynos 2400 compared to the Exynos 2200 used in the Galaxy S22. Insiders within and outside the company have expressed positive reactions to the Exynos 2400, highlighting the stabilization of Samsung Electronics’ 4nm foundry process yield.
Rumored specifications for the Exynos 2400 include a 10-core CPU configuration with a powerful Cortex-X4 core clocked at 3.1GHz, two Cortex-A720 cores at 2.9GHz, three Cortex-A720 cores at 2.6GHz, and four Cortex-A520 cores at 1.8GHz. Furthermore, it is speculated to feature a highly anticipated AMD RDNA2-based Xclipse GPU with 12 Compute Units, offering four times the compute power compared to the Exynos 2200.
