Researchers are attempting to achieve something very useful for any forensic expert. They are developing display sensors for smartphones which can use user’s emit to not only perceive the body temperature but also analyse his DNA.
Researchers from Polytechnique Montreal and Gorilla Glass manufacturer Corning, are working together, said to be claiming that sensors can be surrounded inside the smartphone’s display which will allow users to check their body temperatures, can be helpful to diabetic patients to check their blood sugar levels and work with platforms like Apple’s Homekit to give detailed report on user’s health, Mashable reported.
Researchers also developed first of it’s kind laser written guiding system which can added help these advancements and use laser into the glass to create pathways which broadcast data in forms of small light beams as waveguides act as a tunnel which channel these lights and it is also similar to how electronic wires convey electric signals.
If it is added to a smartphone and add readable code, it can open the doors to many opportunities by such device makers. The new approach of the waveguides are much better and it also minimises loss made with previous lasers. This study made its place in Optics Express.
