Just a couple of days back, Sony has announced the launch of their new noise cancelling headphones – the WH-1000XM5 for the Indian market. The headphones will cost you Rs. 34,990/- and will come in Silver and Black colors from 8th October, 2022.
Sony mentioned in its statement that, “This new model brings a whole new immersive, distraction-free sound experience to its users and thanks to the implementation of new technologies, they elevate the already industry-leading noise cancelling and audio quality on the WH-1000XM5, to a whole new level”.
The new WH-1000XM5 headphones come with an integrated V1 processor that enables them to fully unleash the true capabilities of Sony’s HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN1. They also come with a customized 30mm driver that is useful for increasing the noise cancelling abilities of the headphones.
The 30mm driver units coupled with light and sturdy dome that is made from carbon fiber composite allows for an improved high-frequency sensitivity that helps with a more natural sounding audio output. The 360 Reality Audio certification of these new headphones also ensure an immersive audio experience.
As for endurance, the WH-1000XM5 headphones have a decent 30-hour long battery life that is aided by an impressive 3-hours of battery life with just 3 minutes of power-delivery via USB. Sony also provides a handy and foldable case that can be useful during travel. Further, the new Sony headphones provide support for Google’s latest Fast Pair feature that enables a much smoother and faster pairing experience with android devices.
