The affordable earphones from Sony, model number WF-C700N, have active noise cancellation, according to a leak (ANC). The Sony WF-C700N is the WF-replacement, C500’s but it now supports ANC. The Sony WF-1000XM4 will cost more than the earbuds that were released. The Walkman Blog published a story that included information about the leak.
In 2021, the WF-C500 was introduced, and it was reasonably priced. However, it lacked ANC capability, which was a significant disadvantage. But that flaw is fixed by the WF-C700N. The WF-C700N, model number YY2968, has previously leaked. Therefore, the recently disclosed information suggests that the product will soon be released.
The WF-Bluetooth C700N’s SIG certification certifies that it will enable Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity. That is an enhancement over its forerunner, which supported Bluetooth 5.0. The LDAC codecs, which the WF-C500 did not support, are anticipated to be supported by the new set of earphones.
The new WF-C700N and its predecessor share a few characteristics. One reason is that the new earbuds look a lot like their forerunner. Similar to the WF-C500, it will be offered in black, green, white, and violet. Additionally, there are no signs that the new model’s battery life will be longer than that of its forerunner (10 hours).
The WF-C700N earbuds’ complete availability and price information have not yet been disclosed by Sony. Hover rumours suggest that it could be released at any moment, perhaps by spring of this year. However, it is anticipated that the WF-C700N will be less expensive than the more expensive WF-1000XM4 premium earphones.
