Sony Xperia Z2 Coming To India On India On May 8

Sony is all set to launch its 2014 flagship smartphone in India on 8 May. The Sony Xperia Z2, is the next device coming from the house of Japanese smartphone vendor. The Xperia Z2 will compete with the likes of Samsung Galaxy S5 and HTC One (M8) in India. Its Korean competitor LG is yet to reveal its flagship device for the year , which is likely to appear later this month.

Sony Xperia Z2 was first showcase at the Mobile World Congress, Barcelona in February this year. The company had then claimed that the worldwide launch would happen in March. But, the rollout of the device was delayed as the company faced component shortages. The Xperia Z2 was rolled out in Europe last week and now it is coming to India. Interested buyers can pre-book the device on Sony India’s website. 

Let’s have a look at the specifications of Sony Xperia Z2. It comes loaded on the specifications front when compared with the the Galaxy S5 and the One (M8). The Xperia Z2 packs the same OmniBalance design like its predecessor.

Sony Xperia Z2 features a 13.2-cm (5.2-inch) 1080p display, along with a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor. It packs a whopping 3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory and a 20.7-megapixel camera, that is now also able to shoot videos in 4K resolution. The Xperia Z2 is also dust and water proof, like the other high-end Xperia devices.
