Swipe Telecom is all set to launch a new tablet in the Indian market. The Swipe Slice tablet is now up for grabs via online retail store Amazon India at a price tag of Rs 4,999. There is however no word from Swipe concerning the availability of the device.
The Swipe Slice tablet features a 7-inch display with a 800×480 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1.3GHz dual-core MediaTek MT8312 processor with Mali 400 GPU coupled with 512MB of RAM. It sports a 2MP rear camera and a 0.3MP fixed focus front-facing camera. It comes with 4GB of built-in storage flexible up to 32GB via microSD card. The dual SIM device runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box. Connectivity options include: GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, a 3.5mm jack, GPS/ A-GPS and Bluetooth 4.0. Further, the voice calling tablet decks in a 3,000mAh battery.
Earlier, Swipe had launched the MTV Slash 4X tablet in India at a price tag of Rs 9,999. The MTV Slash 4X features more or less similar specifications as the Slic with the only difference baing the screen resolution, which is 1024×600 pixels in Swipe MTV Slash 4X.
