Tarun Taunk, Chief Editor, IT Voice awarded with “Excellence in Digital Media” by Public Relations Society

Jaipur, July 9. In an event organized by the Public Relations Society at Jaipur International Center today, eminent personalities who have excelled in various services, including public relations, were awarded Jan Sampark Alankaran.

The Secretary of the society, Arun Joshi, informed that Pawan Arora, the Commissioner of Rajasthan Housing Board, was awarded Jan Sampark Shri, Farooq Afridee, Special Officer (Chief Minister) received the Lifetime Achievement award, and renowned ghazal singer Padma Shri Ahmad Hussain and Mohammad Hussain were honored with special recognition along with 24 eminent personalities honored with awards.

The event was attended by the Chief Guest Rajeev Arora, President of RAJSICO, Haridev Joshi, Vice-Chancellor of the University, Dr. Professor Sudhi Rajeev, and noted speaker and former IAS Manoj Kumar Sharma, who felicitated 24 distinguished personalities in various fields with shawls, certificates of appreciation, plaques, and mementos.

On this occasion, dignitaries from Udaipur, including Regional Commissioner Rajendra Bhatt, Tilak Palawat, Late Govardhan Lal Parashar, Late Kamal Nayan Sharma, Dr. Narottam Sharma, Shri Digvijay Dabaria, Shri Umeed Raj Jain, Dr. Kriti Bharti, Aashish Jain PRO, Shweta Pachauri, Aakanksha Palawat PRO, Vinayak Sharma, Tarun Taunk, Mahesh Kacholia, Shailendra Sharma, Aashish Aman Himanshu Patani, Rekha Chatterjee, Manoj Bhadwaj, Seema Raj Chandra Shekhar PRO, Snigdha Sharma, and Lippi Singhal were also honored.

Rajeev Arora, President of RAJSICO, while emphasizing the importance of public relations, said that an excellent public relations officer can enhance the image of the department and administration through their writings and communication. He said that public relations play a vital role in all sectors around the world.

Haridev Joshi, the event chairman and Vice-Chancellor of Journalism University, Professor Sudhi Rajeev, stated that a public relations officer should possess the ability to distinguish between truth and falsehood. He mentioned that the University has conducted training for PROs and will continue to do so in the future.

Keynote speaker and former IAS Manoj Kumar Sharma stated that the media is a double-edged sword, so while forwarding any information, one should verify its authenticity. He said that the responsibility of a public relations officer is to identify the misleading information from the truth.

In the beginning, Arun Joshi, the Secretary of the society, provided an overview of social responsibilities. The program was also addressed by the CEO of the society, Pradeep Kulshreshtha, and concluded with a vote of thanks by Tarun Taunk. The program was conducted by Dr. Deepak Srivastava.
