Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has named Elizabeth Mathew as the new head of TCS LeaD, according to an internal communication reported by Economic Times. The communication, signed by TCS’ HR head Milind Lakkad, announced Mathew’s appointment. TCS LeaD, an internal program, is designed to foster diversity and leadership at the senior level within the organization.
Mathew, an experienced professional with a tenure at TCS since 1989, is based in Bengaluru. Throughout her career, she has undertaken various HR leadership roles across different business groups within the company. Her new role follows CEO K Krithivasan’s series of leadership changes at India’s largest IT services company earlier this year. Mathew will oversee the diversity and inclusion initiatives at TCS, while Preeti D’Mello, Head of Diversity and Inclusion, and Brinda R, Head of Leadership Careers, will report to her.
Anant Haidale, who previously led TCS LeaD and served as the HR head in North America, is reported to be transitioning to a new leadership position within the manufacturing business group, based on the internal note. Haidale, with a career spanning over 30 years in the manufacturing sector, joined TCS in 2007 from Infosys. During a restructure initiated by CEO Krithivasan in July, the manufacturing business group was placed under the leadership of Anupam Singhal.
In Lakkad’s communication, it was emphasized that Mathew would be responsible for developing leadership talent and overseeing diversity and inclusion strategies within the organization. TCS had announced significant senior management changes earlier this year, as per a note submitted to the exchanges. The alterations are reported under the heading ‘Change in Management.’ Additionally, TCS revealed the retirement of Chief Technology Officer K Ananth Krishnan on July 31, 2023.
TCS, in compliance with SEBI guidelines, disclosed multiple changes to senior management personnel, including Harrick Vin, Shankar Narayanan, V Rajanna, Siva Ganesan, Ashok Pai, and Reguraman (Regu) Ayyaswamy.
