As promised, the premium Tecno Phantom X2 and Phantom X2 Pro smartphones have debuted in Saudi Arabia. The 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC in these phones offers excellent performance. Both phones are equipped with a triple camera setup on the back, a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera, a curved AMOLED display, a 120Hz refresh rate, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus layer for protection, and an in-display fingerprint sensor for further security. The vapour chamber cooling system is standard on the Tecno Phantom X2 and Phantom X2 Pro.
The Phantom X2 Pro will be released early in 2019, most likely in January, according to Tecno, who also confirmed that the ordinary Phantom X2 will arrive in India before the end of this month. The price of the Tecno Phantom X2 in Saudi Arabia is SAR 2699 (about Rs 59,200) for the 8GB + 256GB variant and SAR 3,499 (roughly Rs 76,700) for the 12GB + 256GB model. The 6.8-inch Full-HD+ curved AMOLED display on the Tecno Phantom X2 and X2 Pro features a 120Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate, Corning Gorilla Victus protection, a screen-to-body ratio of 93.5 percent, P3 Wide Colour Gamut, 8+2Bit display, CNC middle frame, Military Grade Anti-Glare Glass, and TUV SUD 36-month Display Fluency.
The MediaTek Dimensity 9000 5G SoC, along with the Mali-G710 MC10 GPU and Hyper Engine 5.0, powers the phones. The Phantom X2 has 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage and 8GB of RAM. While the X2 Pro offers 256GB of storage and 12GB of RAM. A further 5GB of expandable RAM is available for greater multitasking.
The phones come pre-installed with HiOS 12.0 skin on top of Android 12. 5G, 4G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, and a USB Type-C connection for charging are among the available forms of connectivity. For security, the Phantom X2 and X2 Pro have an in-display fingerprint sensor and a vapour chamber cooling mechanism. The 5160mAh battery of the Tecno Phantom X2 and X2 Pro supports 45W rapid charging.
A 64MP (RGBW) primary camera with OIS, an f/1.6 aperture, LED flash, a 7th Gen IMAGIQ 790 ISP, and a 5th Gen AI Processor APU 590 are all included in the Tecno Phantom X2’s triple camera configuration at the back. A 13MP secondary lens, a 2MP sensor, and the primary sensor are all combined.
The Phantom X2 Pro, on the other hand, includes a 50MP primary sensor with a 7P lens, a 5th Gen AI Processor APU 590, a quad flashlight, a 50MP retractable portrait lens, and a 13MP lens. It also has a 7th Gen IMAGIQ 790 ISP. The phones come equipped with a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.
