Tecno, a smartphone brand, recently launched its first foldable phone, the Phantom V Fold, in India. The company stated that it will manufacture the device at its Noida facility, which has a production capacity of 24 million units per year.
Tecno has now announced the upcoming launch of a new configuration for the Phantom V Fold in India. The phone was originally launched with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, but the company plans to release a version with 512GB of storage at the end of next month. The pricing for this new configuration has not yet been revealed.
In terms of specifications, the Tecno Phantom V Fold is a horizontally folding phone with a 6.42-inch main display that has an FHD+ resolution, and a 7.85-inch interior screen with a resolution of 2,000 x 2,296 pixels. Both displays have an AMOLED LTPO panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole cutout. The phone also features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The Tecno Phantom V Fold boasts a circular camera module that houses a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens, and a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The phone features a 32MP camera on the primary screen and a 16MP sensor on the interior display for selfies and video calls.
Under the hood, the Tecno Phantom V Fold is powered by a Dimensity 9000 Plus processor, and it comes with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM. It is available in 256GB and 512GB storage options. The foldable phone comes with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging, and it runs on the Android 13 operating system out of the box.
