The gadget we’re talking about today may help us on the physical surveillance side. Tenda CP3 promises to have enough protection features. We will see further how this device behaved and what it has to offer.
Design
CP3 design is quite conventional for an indoor surveillance camera that can rotate on the horizontal axis at 360 degrees and the vertical axis at about 155 degrees.
CP3 shape resembles that of an egg, chamfered at the base. The module that integrates the lens, the night lighting system with 4 IR LEDs, as well as the microSD card slot and the Reset button, which cannot be seen normally, is black and has a sphere shape.

Installation and use
In the case of Tenda CP3, you need to download the TDSEE application, available for free in the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. The first step is to create an account using your phone number or email address, then click on the button to add a new device. Here are a few simple steps that involve choosing the Wi-Fi network you want your camera to be in, scanning a QR code on your Tenda CP3 camera screen and another on your camera screen with your phone.
Then everything happens automatically, the final configurations are made by the application. All you have to do is name the camera as you want and you can scroll through the settings interface.
Tenda CP3 offers some interesting features:
You can set up to three predefined voice messages to play through the camera’s speaker at certain times, that is, when the camera detects movement in a specific area. It is a useful function especially for shops, office areas, when at the entrance of a person you can send a certain message;
Room tracking function.
The camera changes position so that the person moving stays in the frame. It doesn’t always work optimally,
sometimes it loses contact, sometimes it moves too slowly to keep up with the person moving fast;

Privacy Function
There is a way to physically cover the camera lens when you want to be sure of your privacy. Simply by pressing a virtual button in the application, the rotary module tilts to the bottom and so the lenses are completely covered;
Alert Alarm
There is an alarm mode that can be activated, which involves sending notifications when the camera detects motion in the frame or noise nearby. It works exactly, during the test period I did not receive false notifications. There is also the possibility to record a message that the camera plays through the speaker when the alarm is activated;
You can share your room with other people. They need to install the TDSEE application, create an account, and when they receive an invitation from the administrator on that account (email or phone number), they just accept and that’s it. The administrator can choose which features to give guests access to.
Video Quality and Two-way Audio
In terms of recording quality, especially when analysing the videos stored on the card, the quality is not only correct, but surprisingly good. The same goes for the captured sound, the built-in microphone is sensitive enough to clearly capture the vast majority of sounds from the location where the camera is mounted.
Connectivity:
Tenda CP3 offers 802.11 b / g / n Wi-Fi connectivity only on the 2.4 GHz band. The maximum transfer speed is up to 150 Mbps, more than enough regardless of the situation. However, the needle standard with availability for the 5 GHz band would have meant a less interference-influenced connection, so something more stable.
