Even in areas where the M line once dominated, like India, the Galaxy A appears to be more popular than the M-series, but Samsung hasn’t given up on producing spec-focused M-branded competitors to several of its Galaxy A phones. And the Galaxy M54 5G appears to be one of its next smartphones. With the device being observed wandering around Bluetooth SIG, it should be one step closer to being released.

The phone is Bluetooth 5.3 compliant and has the model number SM-M546B/DS. The Bluetooth programme verifies dual-SIM support and 5G connectivity, but not much else. However, now that this certification is complete, the Galaxy M54 5G should be getting close to going on sale.

The undisclosed Exynos 1380 processor should power the Galaxy M54 5G, according to an internet benchmark from November 2022. Another unfounded report claimed that the phone would use the Snapdragon 888 SoC, but that seems incredibly unlikely. After all, Galaxy M phones were never intended to be high-end models but rather affordable options that offer a little bit more power than the Galaxy A substitutes at the expense of build quality and occasionally software features.

Similar to the reported Galaxy A54, the Galaxy M54 5G could have at least 8GB of RAM and come pre-installed with Android 13. The One UI 5.1 version, which made its debut with the Galaxy S23 series last week, is likely to coexist with the OS rather than the older One UI 5.0 version. The Galaxy S23 is now available for pre-order, but Samsung hasn’t provided any information on when the considerably more affordable Galaxy M54 5G will be made available.
