The iPad now supports the Apple Music Classical app

In March, Apple introduced the Music Classical app exclusively for the iPhone, later extending it to Android devices in May.

Now, the company has released an update, version 1.1, making the app compatible with iPads. The update includes a new design optimized for larger displays, featuring a navigation sidebar and media controls toolbar for the now playing screen.

This marks the first major update for Apple Music Classical since its launch, with previous updates primarily addressing minor bug fixes.

The app is available for free to users with a standard Apple Music subscription, offering a dedicated platform for classical music enthusiasts with enhanced metadata, detailed information about composers and conductors, fine-grained search, curated playlists, and recommendations.

The app supports high-quality streaming up to 192 kHz Hi-Res Lossless but requires a constant internet connection, lacking the option for offline song downloads.

Apple collaborated with renowned classical music artists and institutions to provide unique and exclusive content to Apple Music Classical listeners.

The update expands the availability of the Classical app to iPhone, iPad, and Android platforms.
