According to Ice Universe, the upcoming Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max will break that previous mark. In comparison to the 2.17mm of the current iPhone 14 Pro Max, the dark border around the screen of the new flagship will only measure 1.55mm. The Xiaomi 13 currently holds the mark with a thickness of 1.81mm. The bezels on the Galaxy 22 and S23 are roughly 1.95mm thick for reference.
A few weeks back, a video featuring the iPhone 15 series’ glass panels was released. The individual handling the panels claimed that the Pro models’ bezels were thinner than those of the standard phone (although this is relative, so it’s possible that the borders of all phones are becoming thinner).
The iPhone 15 Pro will also have thinner bezels, according to CAD renderings, so the Pro Max variant won’t be the only one. The two phones will have a centred pill-shaped punch opening and the so-called “Dynamic Island” design.
Architectural renderings of the standard iPhone 15 and 15 Plus have also been made available. Additionally, they will adopt the Dynamic Island design, but only Pros will be able to use ProMotion, so the standard versions will continue to have 60Hz displays. The USB-C port will be a significant shift for all iPhone 15 models. Later this year, more will be added.
