Xiaomi introduced the Redmi A2 Plus in India simultaneously with the Redmi A2 back in May. Initially, the device was offered with a sole memory configuration of 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.
Now, after a span of three months, Xiaomi has launched a new memory variant for this model, maintaining the same RAM capacity but increasing the storage space.
In India, consumers can now purchase the Redmi A2 Plus with a memory configuration of 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. This updated variant is available in all three color options: Aqua Blue, Classic Black, and Sea Green.
The price tag for this version stands at ₹8,499 (~$100) within the region. Notably, this is the exact price at which the initial 4GB + 64GB variant was introduced. Consequently, the price of the original version has been lowered by ₹500, making it currently available for ₹7,999 (~$95).
When it comes to specifications, the Redmi A2 Plus boasts a 6.52-inch HD+ display with a dewdrop notch design. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio G36 chipset and runs on Android 13 Go Edition.
The smartphone is equipped with an 8MP primary camera coupled with a depth sensor for photography. For selfies and video calls, there is a 5MP front camera.
The phone encompasses essential features like a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a MicroSD card slot. In terms of connectivity, it supports dual SIM functionality, single-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, and a MicroUSB port.
Last but not least, the device is backed by a robust 5,000mAh battery with support for standard 10W charging.
