A recent leak from trustworthy source Ice Universe disclosed that the European version of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series would incorporate the Exynos 2400 chipset. However, a subsequent leak has now unveiled that the Galaxy S24 Ultra will not offer a variant powered by the Exynos 2400.
As per another leak from Setsuna Digital, the Exynos 2400 chipset will be exclusively present in the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus models. Interestingly, the Galaxy S24 Ultra, irrespective of the region, will come equipped with a Snapdragon processor.
In simpler terms, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy will be the chosen processor for the Galaxy S24 Ultra in all markets. This suggests that the Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus will offer either the Exynos 2400 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy depending on the region. As usual, it’s advisable to take this leak with a grain of skepticism.
A recent report indicated that the base configuration of the Galaxy S24 Ultra might commence with 8 GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Additionally, the upper limit for storage capacity is anticipated to be increased to 2 TB, a notable step up from the maximum 1 TB storage in the S23 Ultra. In the S23 Ultra model, storage choices ranged from 256 GB, 512 GB, to 1 TB.
According to rumors, the Exynos 2400 is projected to feature a 10-core chip with a primary Cortex-X4 core, along with two clusters of Cortex-A720 cores, and four A520 cores. The GPU, named Xclipse 940, has been developed in collaboration with AMD and is based on the RDNA 2 technology.
Conversely, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy is poised to be an overclocked edition of the regular Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. It is expected to integrate a potent Cortex-X4 core, running at an impressive 3.30GHz. Furthermore, three Cortex-A720 cores will operate at 3.15GHz. Alongside these, the processor will incorporate two Cortex-A710 cores functioning at 2.96GHz and two Cortex-A510 cores designed to perform at 2.27GHz. Additionally, the processor is said to include the Adreno 750 GPU.
