Meta’s Threads app has been a topic of ongoing discussion since its launch, and it continues to receive updates to enhance user experience. The latest update introduces three new convenient features, as announced by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
Firstly, users can now seamlessly share Threads posts directly through Instagram messages, expanding the convenience of sharing with friends on Instagram DMs. While Threads already allowed sharing posts on regular stories and posts, this update further streamlines the sharing process by enabling it within messages.

The second addition is the ability for users to add custom Alt-Text to images and videos shared on Threads. This feature provides additional context for content, particularly helpful when visual elements fail to load due to network issues or other reasons.
Lastly, the update introduces a new mention button to Threads, allowing users to effortlessly tag or mention others in their posts and responses. To mention someone, users can simply type the “@” symbol followed by the profile name, select the appropriate account, and the mention is complete. These new features aim to enhance communication and engagement within the Threads app.
