Vivo is in the process of developing a new smartphone, known as the Vivo X100, and preliminary information suggests that this phone will boast an impressive array of camera sensors.
As per the latest leak by Digital Chat Station, the upcoming Vivo X100 smartphone will feature a 64-megapixel camera sensor equipped with a periscope module. Notably, it will include a 100mm periscope lens with an f/2.5 aperture specially designed for capturing images in low-light conditions. Additionally, it will house an OmniVision OV64B 64-megapixel 1/2” sensor with 0.7µm native pixels, supporting 4-in-1 binning for enhanced photography.
The company is reportedly collaborating with Zeiss and will incorporate Vario-Appo-Sonnar lenses into the smartphone. The primary camera sensor for the device is anticipated to be a customized Sony sensor, possibly a 53-megapixel 1/1.43” sensor.
The Vivo X100 series is rumored to comprise three models: X100, X100 Pro, and X100 Pro+. While the X100 and X100 Pro are expected to hit the market around November this year, the X100 Pro+, which is the top-tier model in the series, may be launched in early 2024.
Additionally, there is a possibility that the smartphone lineup could feature Vivo’s proprietary Vivo V3 6nm image chip along with the introduction of new Zeiss T* coating technology.
