Paytm, India’s largest mobile commerce platform, has added yet another exciting and innovative category on its marketplace. This festive season you can shop for your favourite sweets and gifting items through Paytm as they bring you the popular mithai wallahs, flower shops and gift vendors on its platform.
Over 20 merchants such as Bikanervala, Punjabi Ghasitarama Halwai are on board to sell all kinds of gifting treats such as dry fruit baskets, chocolates, gift hampers and sweets. You can order chocolate gift packages from Chocolik or get flowers delivered at the doorstep of your loved ones from Ferns and Petals through Paytm.
Vijay Shekhar Sharma, CEO Paytm, said “The new category is a part of a slew of initiatives to make our mobile marketplace the go-to destination for all shopping needs. Given the festive season which is round the corner, we expect significant traction in this category in the coming days.”
Paytm launched its mobile marketplace earlier this year and has since then brought on board a large number of merchants who have listed over 10 million items across various categories. These include men, women and kids’ fashion, personal grooming, accessories and home furnishing. It recently also tied up with Digital Empowerment Foundation to empower self-help groups and micro-enterprises across diverse clusters including textile, weaving and handicrafts.
