Vivo has unveiled the V29e in India, priced between Rs 26,999 and Rs 28,999. It offers a choice of Artistic Red or Artistic Blue colors. This latest addition to the Vivo V-series caters to budget-conscious customers and photography enthusiasts.
Unlike the premium X-series, the V29e is designed to be more affordable. Key features include a 50MP front camera with autofocus, a 64MP rear camera with optical image stabilization, and a Snapdragon 695 SoC, all while supporting 5G connectivity.
The device comes with two storage options: 128GB and 256GB, both paired with 8GB of RAM. It boasts a sleek design measuring just 7.57mm thick. The phone’s 6.73-inch AMOLED display offers Full HD+ resolution (2400×1080 pixels) and a high refresh rate.
The hole-punch cutout houses the 50MP selfie camera, which supports “Eye Auto Focus” for improved accuracy.
Powering the Vivo V29e is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 695 SoC and a sizable 5000mAh battery, capable of 44W fast charging. The device features a dual-camera setup on the back, comprising a 64MP OIS camera and an 8MP wide-angle camera. The glass finish on the rear adds to its premium aesthetics. The camera app offers various modes such as portrait, micro movie, high-resolution, pano, slow-mo, double exposure, dual view, supermoon, and light effects.
The phone runs on Android 13-based Funtouch OS and includes an in-display fingerprint scanner. It also supports 5G connectivity, features a Type-C charging port, and houses a dual-SIM card slot. The Vivo V29e is arriving just ahead of the iQOO Z7 Pro launch on August 31 and Motorola’s Moto G83 on September 1. According to IDC data, Vivo currently leads the Indian smartphone market with a 16% share.
