India has consistently been a successful market for the business. Mobile service providers have traditionally competed for market share. A new 5G phone from Vivo has been introduced for under Rs. 10,000 to address this. Vivo just introduced the wildly popular Vivo Y01 phone in Africa. It now has intentions to introduce a smartphone into the Indian market, where it will probably face competition from midrange phones and will only be available for Rs. 9,000.
On the specifications front, the device from Vivo will feature a 6.51-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1600×720 pixels. It will be powered by a MediTek Helio P35 processor and will run Google’s Android Go software which is designed to run on phones and devices with budget hardware. The 5G capable device will come with 2 GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage.
As for the camera department, the device will feature a single rear facing camera setup of 8MP, f/2.0 aperture photography lens, along with a 5MP front facing camera. The software will also sport a beaty mode and a time lapse mode for the rear facing camera. The device will be available in two colors – Elegant Black and Blue.
The smartphone will sport a 5000mAh massive non-removeable battery and support 10W charging speeds. It will also support 4G Dual-SIM for network connectivity and is also equipped with Bluetoothv5.0 and Wi-Fi 2.4GHz/5GHz Wi-Fi.
