Vodafone-Idea (Vi) is striving to address its declining user base by introducing additional data benefits to one of its prepaid plans.
The Rs 299 prepaid plan, which typically provides 1.5GB of daily data, now includes an extra 5GB of data for its customers.
Alongside unlimited voice calling and 100 SMS per day, the plan features benefits like Binge All Night with unlimited data, Weekend Data rollover, and Data Delight.
It has a validity period of 28 days and offers access to Vi Movies and TV Classic via the Vi App, available on both Android and iOS.
However, it’s crucial to note that the 5GB additional data benefit is only applicable during the first three days after recharge.
As Vi lacks 5G services in India while its top competitors, Airtel and Reliance Jio, offer 5G services with unlimited data for both prepaid and postpaid customers, the telecom provider is struggling to retain its customers.
To counteract this, Vi has made various efforts to entice customers to its network by providing added benefits, cost-effective plans, and enhanced offerings, with this recent attempt being a continuation of their strategy.
