WhatsApp, which introduced its Channels feature in India earlier this year, has now reportedly been working on a new feature that allows channel owners to request a review for their suspended channels.
According to reports, this upcoming feature is still in the development stage and is expected to be rolled out soon.
WhatsApp aims to introduce a channel alerts screen to notify users about potential closures of their channels. While a preliminary version of the channel alerts screen was released a few months ago, the platform is actively working on enhancing it.
The future update will include the capability for users to request a review for their suspended channels. Currently, channels may be suspended for policy violations, resulting in the deactivation of the channel link and restricting the ability to share new updates.
However, the introduction of the review request option will give channel owners an opportunity to have their suspended channels reconsidered.
Additionally, WhatsApp is working on another feature to discreetly conceal locked chats. In an upcoming update, users will be able to hide the access point for locked chats, requiring the entry of a secret code in the search bar to access these chats.
This enhancement is aimed at bolstering privacy and security for users seeking to protect confidential conversations.
