WhatsApp is introducing a passkey feature for account verification, enabling users to verify their accounts in case of login issues.
This feature, available in the Android beta version 2.23.20.4, offers a brief combination of numbers or characters to confirm a user’s identity and ensures that only authorized devices can be verified.
Users can employ biometric data such as fingerprints, facial recognition, or screen locks for identity verification.
This passkey feature enhances account security by adding an additional layer of protection and allowing easy access while preventing unauthorized entry.
WhatsApp also launched its WhatsApp Channels feature globally, providing a private and dependable method for users to receive essential updates from individuals and organizations within the platform.
