The recent update for WhatsApp Messenger now allows the Apple users to archive chats and groups. The updated version (2.11.9) is available for free download at App Store. It is of about 50 MB in size. However, after one year of free usage, user will have to pay $0.99 every year.
Few of the new features of the new version of iPhone WhatsApp involves, ability to add captions to images and videos before sharing it with friends, support for trimming videos before sharing them, speedy camera access button for clicking and sending photos, also an added feature for satellite map views when sharing a location, new drop and drag pin feature to share precise location, new media auto-download preferences, new wallpapers, support for attaching screenshots when reporting problems and nonetheless new and refreshing notification tones. For iphone 5s, it has an additional feature which allows the user to share slow-motion videos with WhatatsApp v2.11.9 update.
The Android WhatsApp update was rolled out last month which brought support for the Android wear devices devices like LG G Watch and the Samsung Gear Live smartwatches.
