WhatsApp, one of the most popular cross-platform messaging services, has released an update to its Android app which includes rich wrist-based notifications for Android Wear users. Notification were appearing since some time now, but the new update has brought in a host of new features.
These new features include full message viewing, nested or stacked messages with sliding navigation between them, reply via voice and more. Incoming messages can also be dismissed by a swipe like Hangouts message for example. So if you are a huge WhatsApp user you’ll love this Whatsapp update for sure.
This 2.11.362 update is available on the general play store release, so even users who don’t want to use the beta version can also access richer WhatsApp chat notifications on their wrists. WhatsApp is a free download for Android 2.1 or higher but full access to the chat platform costs $1 per year.
