Whotspot.com is pleased to announce its new, wireless mesh networking equipment a.k.a. WiFi hotspot for Marinas, with setup in about 5 minutes. The device allows Marinas to display a custom portal page, offer web-surfing vouchers and to accept credit cards. The Whotspot device is managed in the cloud and features high power, low cost, POE and several enclosure options.
The WiFi Hotspot equipment is installed by plugging it into an internet modem. The device automatically connects to the cloud, registers and is configured by Whotspot. Additional range can be realized by adding more access points, which only need power to form the network.
“Marina owners can offer it free to monthly slip rentals or charge whatever they like to customers. It is a great additional revenue source,” claims Terry Fagen, Whotspot President.
Whotspot provides managed WiFi equipment and services, including Wireless Routers, Access Points, Repeaters, Unique Enclosures and Power Supplies to facilitate venues in providing controlled WiFi.
