Why Motorola sees India as key to success in the global phone market

India holds significant importance for Motorola as it considers the country to be a crucial factor in its global success in the smartphone market. A high-ranking official from the company stated that Motorola views India as a key market in achieving its goal of becoming one of the top three smartphone brands worldwide within the next three years. Sergio Buniac, the global president of Motorola, emphasized that if the company can thrive in India, it can replicate its success in any other part of the world.

Motorola is committed to the Indian market for the long term and is currently focusing on expanding its presence both online and offline.

During the launch event of Motorola’s premium foldable smartphone, the Motorola Razr 40 series, Sergio Buniac mentioned the company’s entry into India’s premium phone market, which is currently dominated by Apple. The Motorola Razr 40 series consists of two models: the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra and the Motorola Razr 40. The starting price for the Razr 40 Ultra is Rs 90,000, while the Razr 40 starts at Rs 60,000. Both models come with offers for ICICI Bank debit and credit card users and will be exclusively available on Amazon.

The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra features a 3.6-inch pOLED display with a 144Hz adaptive refresh rate and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. It also has a 6.9-inch pOLED main display with a 165Hz refresh rate and 1400 nits peak brightness. The device comes with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. Its main camera is equipped with a 12MP sensor with Instant Dual Pixel PDAF, f/1.5 aperture lens, and OIS. It also includes a Night Vision mode for low-light video recording. Additionally, it has a secondary 13MP ultrawide + macro vision camera. For selfies and video calls, users can utilize the 32MP front camera.
