In India, the Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ made their debut recently. Both smartphones are available in 4GB/64GB configurations in Aqua Blue, Classic Black, and Sea Green colours, while the Redmi A2 offers an additional option: 2GB/32GB. The 4GB/64GB variant costs INR7,999 ($95/€90), while it costs INR6,299 ($75/€70). The cost of the 4GB/64GB Redmi A2+ is INR8,499 ($100/€95).
Starting on May 23, Xiaomi’s official Indian website, Amazon.in, Mi Home, and retail partners will all offer the Redmi A2 and A2+ for purchase in India. Both smartphones come with a 2-year warranty from Xiaomi to make sure “users don’t have to change their smartphone every year.”
The Redmi A2 and A2+ are similar smartphones with the exception of the latter’s fingerprint sensor, which is located on the back. They have 6.52″ HD+ LCDs, the Helio G36 SoC, and Android 13 (Go Edition) pre-installed.
Both smartphones have 5,000 mAh batteries and can use up to 10W of power via microUSB. The A2 and A2+ contain 5MP front-facing selfie cameras and 8MP primary cameras on the back, joined by depth sensors.
