Even as Xiaomi, also referred to as ‘China’s Apple’ is gearing up to start on a new device in the Indian market come 22 July, quite possibly the successor to the recently launched Mi 3, an online retailer has spilled some beans about the device in question. The device reported to be called the Mi 4 has been listed as ‘out of stock’, with the retailer price being quoted as $599.99 (roughly Rs 36,000).
Reportedly, the “Xiaomi Mi4 will be accessible in countries such as the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Russia, Vietnam, Turkey, Brazil, Thailand, and India”, according to the vendor. It will reportedly feature a 13.97-cm (5.5-inch) QHD display with a 1440×2560 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor together with 3GB of RAM. It comes with 32GB of integral storage. It sports a 16MP OIS rear camera and a 5MP front camera. The single SIM device runs Android 4.4 KitKat based MIUI Version 5. It decks in a 3200mAh battery.
Xiaomi recently stepped into the highly competetive Indian market with the launch of its first smartphone: the Mi 3.
