Asus has announced that it expects, India sales of its recently launched ZenFone smartphone series may exceed 200,000 units by the end of this month. Asus mentioned that it has currently four variants in the Indian market which have received impressive response from customers and said that they are constantly working upon meeting the expectations of people and serving them with all recent firmware updates.
It also says that the company has already crossed the mark of 20,000 ZenFone 5 smartphones sale through Flipkart within few hours on Wednesday. Last month the company claimed that it had managed to sell 20,000 ZenFone units within few hours.
Asus smartphone have gained immense popularity in the Indian market, thanks to the value for money it offers. The company even emphasised upon its determination to join the top-ten smartphone vendors in the country by the end of this year and top five by next year.
We have observed multiple instances when ZenFone series went ‘out-of-stock’ on Flipkart. Firmware update (1.17.40.16) for the ZenFone 5 and ZenFone 6 was recently announced with USB OTG (on-the-go) support. The update observed adjustment of front camera’s skin tone, new skin brightening feature for the Beautification mode and also two new resolution options were added for rear and front cameras with improved system stability.
